According to the Baku-based Trend News Agency, the Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry’s authority may be expanded with the adoption of a new law “On Tourism” in Azerbaijan, MP, Parliamentary Social Policy Committee Chairman Hadi Rajabli told Trend.
He said the Culture and Tourism Ministry established a working group to prepare a new draft law which envisages many interesting tourism innovations, Rajabli said.
“They include empowering the Culture and Tourism Ministry and regulating economic and political relations for tourism development in Azerbaijan,” Rajabli said.
He said the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry has some recreational facilities on its balance, from which the Tourism Ministry can benefit in the future.
“Some facilities are associated with nature. The Tourism Ministry would be better to use these facilities. Both the ministries may prepare a document on the protection of these places, as well as on the more efficient use of these places for tourism purposes,” Rajabli said.
